Jerry graduated from the Massachusetts College of Art with a BFA in Illustration & Design. His mentor While there was Ronald Hayes one of the inventors of acrylic paint under whom jerry learned secrets about  how to manipulate the medium. during college jerry sniffed out work for local music magazines such as LOLLIPOP, pasted up dozens of band flyers and is even credited with drawing the original Dropkick Murphy's logo, a credit he shares with Lovely Kevin Darling. After college Jerry moved to San francisco and scored a regular gig AS house illustrator for The Bay Area Reporter, the first gay newspaper in the world. work for The San Francisco Bay Guardian soon followed as well as gigs illustrating for The Industry Standard and The Commonwealth Club of California Magazines.
